For anyone withany problems with android auto after the swap, I was able to fix my initilazation problem tonight by clearing the data and cache of the android auto app on my phone. Seems it was causing a problem for the sync system with the new layout.

That black is the bezel around the screen. It's physically the same screen as the 10" vertical, so has the same amount of wasted screen around it.
OK, thanks so that 1 inch or so that is black on the screen is black on all of them ??

I made the mount for mine out of 1/2" aluminum stock, swapped in the 8" vent trim and cut the original shroud to fit. One of the guys who does 3D printing is working on trim for the bottom, it will look pretty good when done. Saved me from ordering a 25 just for the infotainment system that I hated so much. It's a night and day difference. I did get the screen and 8" trim from eBay.
any chance you can tell me the length of the top mount that you cut?

I haven't seen anyone mention the Lincoln color theme on some of the numbers along the top. I suppose there's no way to have those the white instead of tan?

Unbroken, Is this befor you put the 2 screens together ? I'm guessin yes!I see it shows the temp settings on the top ,any idea if it will show it when u have the part down by the adjustments that doesnt have the temps on it ? It looks like you just keep the vents that were there. Is it a pain to get to the wheels or room behind. Did you look into changing the vents and what the cost was ??

That’s the finished install with both housings blended together. I went to the 8” vent bezel and there’s no issues accessing anything at all. Cost I don’t remember.

I’d read through these threads. There’s plenty of posts about parts needed but you’ll need the tray and insert to go with the 8” bezel.

As far as I know, nobody has been able to change the Lincoln theme. I wonder if the guys at fmods know a way to tinker with it.

Maybe I’ll reach out to them. I’d be perfectly happy just changing the tan to white everywhere.

Unbroken, yea thanks, I been here l9ng enough to def go search 1st . So been going through them . On another note Bro, I asked you about the shit audio these ST's have in them and what to do ! U gave me awesome advice and I took most of it ! I gutted and put the sound deadening in it . But instead of just a sub , I went the full trip! I got a Blackbird dsp/amp, Ended up putting in all Audio frog speakers and their 12in sub and their amp !! Then built a complete new back of the truck. I chucked the 3rd row of seats and made a full storage box from the 2nd row to the hatch. I put all my stuff where the old sub was and the sub is forward facing centered between the 2 back chairs.. sounds really good but I'd love to find a tuner, if u know any good ones around New Jersey,NY ,PA please let me know. It sounds great but I know it can sound a ton better ... Have u been able to ever remove the fake engine noise? I want that out so bad !!! Thanks !

You can kill the FENG with Forscan. As far as tuners my buddy Jeff Hald from MTI here in Texas is exactly what you’re looking for. His remote tuning service is phenomenal. Look up Total Tuning on Facebook.

Who here has done the Aviator screen swap and is also familiar with FMods? I'm not so I'm hoping someone can try a couple of things that might get rid of the tan Lincoln theme letters and numbers. On FMods.net go to the Synch 3 forum then Mods > Mods Database > Graphics then scroll to the bottom and select Overall List. In there there's two that seem like might work? Can someone try "Perspective" and "Dark Grey" and report back?
I also have a pending post there asking about getting rid of the tan letters. I'll update if anyone has any input.
