I do have the 360 back up camera. I think I’m gonna give up and maybe order a Zeus hitch cover maybe the one with the ST logo that lights up with running lights or something. Other option is using it as a C1 and get the running light and back up light. I would just hate to go through the hassle of removing the taillights running the extra harness wires or using the t tap not knowing that would fix the issue for sure. Since the faulty harness wasn’t supplying power for the high power red a had zero issue just no brake function is like to imagine maybe the t tap or extra wires getting the signal from the taillights would work but even they were unsure if that would fix it or even potentially cause issues with the taillights. At this point just doesn’t seem worth it.
I hooked up the t tap wire and touched it to the battery of my wife’s edge and it still didn’t light so I’m assuming the extra wires will do nothing with this harness. I put the original harness back in and error messages galore again. Decided to just unclip the little power plug that the t tap wire connects to to see if the messages stop and maybe try the added wires or t tap with the original harness but the high power red still works so I’m completely lost on this. I called diode and the guy I got today was a lot less helpful and just kept giving me the it’s not for this car.
Will probably send everything back to them get my $100 back for the F150 harness and the $150 or whatever it was for the C1R in store credit maybe I can use one day on some new upgraded bulbs they come out with or something. Seams like I’d have to keep the new harness to get it to function like a C1 which is an expensive ask for limited function.
