Disable Auto Start/Stop on 2025 Explorer ST

Not trying to start a firestorm, but the battery/charging system and starter are designed to work together for the Auto Stop/Start. I owned a 2017 F150 previous to my 2025 ST. I got used to the Auto Stop/Start...never turned it off. Starter never went out on it, battery was replaced at the six year point...which isn't bad for a battery in ANY vehicle. In other words, this may be annoying to you as a system in your car, but it has been designed for it, and it won't harm any of the components in your car if you leave it alone...

Understood but I simply HATE the way the car feels when the starter kicks in. I never had a concern about it causing damage - I just don't like the way it feels when it kicks in...

The auto start/stop system sucks period!
I purchased the AutoEliminator start/stop and installed it in my 24 Lariat F-150 and my 23 Explorer ST.
The ST took 10 minutes to install and was easy.
The F-150 was a little more difficult to get to the switch behind the dash but was doable.
I highly recommend AutoEliminator start/stop.

"Designed for" Is completely subjective. If you think they did anything new to the flywheel teeth or to the starter for this feature, then I have lots of swamp land for sale for you. They added in controls (electronics) only to make this feature function. MANY, many recals and failures happen all the time to "designed" features in automotive and every other industry. Think about that.

I won’t try to argue the points you mentioned. I am just saying that the battery is not a concern in this equation. That was one thing the original poster was concerned with. If you think the engineers did not take into account the mechanical aspects…why do you own a Ford product (assuming you do)? The Auto Stop/Start system is not a popular feature. I don’t particularly like it…but for me it isn’t worth the effort to disable it.

I just received notification that the Auto stop Eliminator for the 2025 Explorer is now available!

The one I bought from 4D Tech failed within just a couple of weeks, it is being returned tomorrow. I ordered the Autostop Eliminator to replace the 4D Tech one this morning. I had no issues with the Autostop Eliminator brand on my 2022 ST.

I was in communication with Jessica @ Autostop Eliminator and she notified me later today that the installation video is now on their website for the 25'. It was just put up today.

I had my '25 in sport mode yesterday and again forgot to turn ASS off. The engine turned off at a stop light. I'll get a picture next time of the IC showing both icons.

Are you sure you were in sport mode and it didn't default back to Normal mode when ya turned it off?? I thought the manual said that if in sport mode it would disable the start stop?

Does Forscan not work for the 25? For my 2020, I followed something I saw on the F150 forum. I believe it is telling the car that a steering event is happening, which prevents the car from turning off. Has anyone tried this on a 25?

I just received notification that the Auto stop Eliminator for the 2025 Explorer is now available!

Considering it requires removing the charging pad and mine is in the shop for, amongst other things, the rubber in front of it not staying down, not sure I want to pull that open once they fix it.
