Disable Auto Stop / Start feature

Anyone know how to permanently disable the auto stop / start feature? I hate that feature. Salesman said it was on a fuse by itself and just pull the fuse. I can't find that fuse referenced in the owners manual. Have seen an aftermarket device that will do it but I'm afraid it may void my warranty. Thanks.

You can do it with an aftermarket tune. I would hold off on pulling any fuse.

Thanks.

That's the one I saw but was afraid it my void my warranty.
The dealership would have to prove that any problem you have is caused by the Eliminator.

Besides, if you're that worried about them voiding your warranty, it would take like 5 minutes to take it off.

My salesman told me the same thing that it is just one fuse to pull and I can't find it in the owner's manual either. Did you ever find it? Or went with purchasing the Eliminator?

I never found it. Haven't done anything yet. About to get in habit of turning if off when I crank up.

There's a couple of guys on the FB group that have bought and are using the Eliminator. Installation takes less than 30 minutes.

I have heard that plugging in a trailer wiring tester, and leaving it in, will bypass the stop/start function. Testers are available on Amazon for 8-10 dollars.

Doesn't plugging in the trailer wiring disable the backup camera or change the way the car drives?

Interesting. Might be worth a try just to see.

I bought the autostop eliminator. It works perfect and installs easy! I highly recommend it!!! Plus, you can still turn the autostop back on. It simply remembers the last setting you had it on when you turn the truck off. The dealer wont even know its there. I got mine for $89 with $10 off coupon for creating an account.

I just push the button the first time it bothers me. Maybe 1 out of every 5 drives: it bugs me. Not sure I'd do a mod to make it permanently go away. Now, if I could find out a way to get the voice activation to turn on massage chair: I would WANT THAT. It's such a pain to dive 2-3 clicks deep into the interface to get to the massage function.

On the massage wish, there is a button on the left side of the driver seat that will take you directly to the massage/lumbar screen.

I just wanted to add, for those concerned that the Autostop Eliminator makes the auto stop-start off permanently, it does not. This was the first mod to my ST, and all it does is makes the switch remember the last setting you had it in, so no more need to hit the button every time you start the car. You can hit to button again anytime to re-enable auto stop-start. Also if concerned over warranty, as others stated it comes out in less than 10 minutes, check out the install video. No wires are cut, and if you use the cloth tape you won't have a stick mess where installed.

I have found when I drive in "sport mode" the auto stop/start shows on the dash as disabled and it is. Driving in Sport Mode is a BLAST!
