ideally I never wanna go back down there again, the goal would be to never need to replace the turbos so regardless of cost I don’t want the inconvenience. Parts on back order plus a month or longer to get into a shop. Your right that cats aren’t as restrictive, but any extra pressure you introduce on the inlet side will introduce more back pressure. So if anything can be done to prevent issues I’d certainly go for it. That’s why at 20,000 miles I’m about to have all fluid flushed, better safe than sorry. I drive way to much and being out of a car isn’t an option.
