Has anybody on the forum used the Dura-Coating tire dressing system?? If you have used it, what did you think of the product. I have been using another brand of dressing and have not been satisfied with it. The dura-coating system is supposed to last several months and not splash onto the body of the vehicle. Thanks in advance.

Tried it. Prep took a lot of time. Looked great after. Was not happy with ongoing maintenance. They seemed to get dirty quickly and I ended up cleaning them every few weeks. Since I went back to regular cleanings and 303 Protectant.

You have to prep religiously. I think it's a great product. I like it better than the Adam's tire dressing I'm using now. Neither last more than a couple of weeks but i just do another coat at that point...no need to reprep and start from scratch.

I posted about this a while back when a few people were asking about it and no one had done yet. I used system and loved it on my Fusion Sport. Like painting or anything with detailing it's all in the prep. First time I had used tires and took almost 40 min a tire to get the suds white (clean). With the ST I waited till I got new tires and did this the weekend after they were installed. I spent maybe 15 min each tire cleaning to perfection.

From there the maint comes down to wiping them clean (I pressure wash when cleaning car and don't actually have to touch the tires) an maybe once a year I wash them down with a rag and some dawn to clean any surface grime. Light wipe with more shine and done. I couldn't be happier.

You saying it'll last you a full year??

No, I reload it at least once a year. Depends how much the car gets washed. I don't like glossy tires. I prefer a dull shine. Original coating was two coats and that was almost too shiny for me. Light reload is all I need to be happy with the results.
