I've seen a few other people ask about the install price because of the book time for the work. If you have some basic stuff the install isn't terrible.

Good luck finding a shop either way.

Overhead and Labor rates at dealerships are going to be higher than anywhere else. If you can't DIY then try to find a smaller shop to do it. That $980 is probably 4-5 hours budgeted for them. Took me less than 3 and that is with a run to Home Depot.
