What kind of noise? Clunking, whistling, squeaking?

It is a 2.3l and after riding in other competitors vehicles with turbo engines the Ford 2.3l seems much louder. I guess I just have to live with it. To avoid the noise I just try to avoid rapid acceleration. lol. I wish Ford would have given me the option of digital or analog rpm and speed.

There is something called FENG which pipes in engine noise. We really can’t give you an answer unless you post a video.

Why in the Hell do these manufactures think they need to make our vehicles louder than they really are? Why not just offer vacum operated cut-outs! LOL

From my purely subjective assessment when I test drove a Platinum with the 2.3L engine I thought it was noisier in the cabin overall during cruising speed and acceleration. The ST with the 3.0L seemed quieter to me in all conditions but I'm older and my hearing isn't as great as it once was so that's just me.
