This is a 2020 ST. So, we just put in the full Fen Fab hot side, cold side and intake and after putting everything back together, we noticed that the driver side turn signal is stuck on, and we are getting the quick flashing when using the turn signal. We then took the passenger side headlight and plugged it into the driver side, and it did the same thing. So, we know it is not the headlight at this point. We took the Explorer to the dealer to have several items looked at. They called the next day about this light and indicated they would have to remove the front bumper to do a full diagnostic of the wiring. They wanted over $700 to remove the bumper. I told them, that they can access that headlight harness connection without taking off the bumper and a hard NO to approving that work. So, just picked up the car. They took care of everything but the light issue. The report says that codes B145E and B1497 appeared to be related to this issue. Looking these up.
Code B145E is LEFT FRONT ENHANCED EXTERIOR LIGHTING SYSTEM. With possible causes:
So, any ideas out there on what could be the cause of this? Is there any kind of pin testing I could do to see if there is a short or open somewhere? Not really sure what the Code B1497 would have to do with the turn signal but maybe it is a pin next to the turn signal pin and they are shorted somehow? There is currently no CEL.
Thanks, Bill
