Extended Warranty with Granger

Bought a 2020 ST with 20k miles on it last November and passed on extended warranty from dealership to get one afterwards. Because I’m outside of original warranty I need to get an inspection done and it says they will send out a tech to my house to inspect it, however online it is trying to make me to pay up front to continue the process. Has anyone paid for it and had a failed inspection and had to repair stuff before they could get the warranty? I already replaced both front cv axles because one of the boots was cracked and leaking oil. Kind of hesitant to drop a couple thousand on an extended warranty and then possibly have to spend a few thousand on repairs before I could even use it. Thanks for any info in advance.

If your vehicle is in good working order, you shouldn't have to spend anything on repairs. If they find something, then you should get it fixed regardless of the warranty inspection.

Any reason for the date or just the usual annual increase ?

Yeah everything is running good but you never know what they might find that I haven’t noticed. You’re right about fixing it I’d repair whatever needs to be done but I guess it just seems backwards to pay for the warranty first before the inspection gets done because that could add up to a huge bill. Maybe I’ll just reach out to them and ask about it. Thanks for input

Called them and they said if it fails for any reason I’ll be refunded except for a $200 inspection fee. Then I’ll have to get everything repaired and get it inspected again. Thanks for help.

I assume yearly increases but I really don't know. I was pricing out warranties for my wife's friend who has an ST (2021), and she has not many clues.
