I thought I could live with wires showing but I couldn’t. Pulled everything out, disassembled the pair of Pro amps and flipped their emblems then gently heated up and pulled the Zero 3 sticker off to flip that too. I’m having an acrylic emblem made to mimic the style on the Pros to cover the carved in letters on the Z3.

This is sooo much better.

Definitely looks better. But I'm not gonna lie, I think you have a problem with level of detail :p

It looks like perfection!

It’s just not right until it’s all the way right. I’d rather do it 100 times than settle.

When I saw the previous pic with the wires exposed to the back, I thought "What an incredible job!" My second thought was, "Next, he's going to hide those wires" Although sometimes perfection is the foe of the good, I am extremely impressed!

The clearance on the RCA ends is literally zero with them flipped…but I made them fit. lol
I didn’t do it originally because I didn’t have enough room. The amps were mounted on a 1/2” piece of birch. After I had the 3/16” aluminum plate cut it gave me just barely enough room to pull it off.

I understand completely. I'm glad I don't need that level of detail but then again my projects would look better if I did.

You've got some mad skills!

I was waiting for the wire move so they are concealed. Looks great concealed, didn't look terrible with the wires showing but you do all this hard work on every other component, why leave that one thing that bothers you. Looks great

So now the question is... when are you getting an engraved aluminum overlay made to put on the Z3 so the lettering is facing the correct direction? You know that a decal isn't going to cut it after a bit and you will start feeling that twitch in the back of your brain.

Like I said…I’m having one made from acryllic that will be similar to the emblems on the Pros. The guy that made this one is making it now. 6F909DA3-3FB7-4C74-AB27-D4AB3714788A.jpeg

If everything showing looks pretty but the back side looks like hell…it’s still a fail. Finally finished up the cable clean up today…plus some old pics so it’s all in one spot.

Got the custom emblem taped on so now everything faces the right way. Building the new false floor panel now and that’ll mostly finish this build. I’m pulling the interior panels out next weekend to add a whole layer of 3M SM400L Thinsulate for some additional noise control while driving. E00B2097-1FFC-42B8-AF38-BCA2F31AE08A.jpeg

False floor done. It’s rough underneath…that’s what happens when I get in a rush. Nobody will ever see it anyway. It’s vented all the way across the amps where the fans are and directly above the subs. E6A2193F-8D0C-4484-BB8D-01ABA5E94197.jpeg 7B352C6A-1E5E-42CA-9056-83E377E9EBB7.jpeg

Wonder how much weight in copper alone you have added. I was thinking about the wheel wells as well. Car is really "tinny" compared to my last 4 vehicles. Trying to rid that any way I can.
