Today I got the holes cut, speaker rings aimed and mounted then the cloth pulled with resin and first layer of mat applied. 1 more layer outside and 2 inside tomorrow.

Lots of glass on the kick panel pods today and while that’s curing I started the new a-pillars. Aimed just behind the rear view mirror then attached the rings and made a plastic insert to blend in above the rings. That’s it for this week.

New RCA’s came in today. RSD Custom Cables silver core Ultras.

Killed a few minutes pulling cloth and getting resin on the a-pillars. Glass tomorrow so I can start sanding and filler on these and the kick panels this weekend.

Final shape is starting to show up.

Trim is fit now. Filler and finish sanding today. Floor mats are cut to match and go to get the border sewn back on tomorrow and hopefully I’ll wrap these up this weekend so I can focus on the a-pillars.

Outside is ready to wrap. Inside still needs lead shot milkshake and threaded inserts for the speakers…I’ll finish that this weekend.

I didn’t take many pic of the process…because who cares about multiple layers of fiberglass and filler, right? lol
I am at this point though…all machine sanded. Hand sanding tomorrow to look for high/low spots, pinholes and do some final shaping. These will be covered in non-backed headliner material so they need to be pretty damn close to perfect.
I also need to cut the back behind the speaker out and milkshake the back. All in all…I’m getting pretty excited to see it all finished.

This project isn't just next level...it's a few levels beyond that. It's a mix of talent, perfectionism, and perseverance all rolled in together. Looking great!

Final test fit before I paint them black so nothing shows through the upholstery and that’s were it’ll sit for a couple of weeks at least. I have a busy week at work then the wife and I are going to Mexico for a while.

I've been looking for the OEM headliner material. Where are you sourcing it through? I've been looking at a few places like Miami Corp, but the pictures of the pattern are a bit "vague". I *think* it's prism, but the lyric looks close as well.

I just got lucky at the upholstery shop that’s sewing the border back on my floor mats. He had several I thought were close so I took samples home and one is basically a spot on match. No idea what it’s called but I’ll try to find out when I pick up the mats this week.

Powering through still being sick today….got the lead shot milkshake done and both pods carpeted along with the rivnuts in place. Tomorrows list:
Finish CLD inside floor.
CCF back side of pods.
Blackhole Tiles in pods and floor.
Run speaker wire.
Water shield in place.
Bolt pods in place.
Install speakers.

And that should wrap these up minus the grilles. I still couldn’t resist a look at what’s to come.

Ran by and grabbed my stuff from the upholstery shop. They sewed the border back on after I cut the mats to fit and matched the oem white stitching then I had them do the same stitching on my dash mat.

Almost done with the floors. I’ll get the grilles made in a week or so when I can get to a friends shop with a router table.

CLD and Blackhole Tiles inside the sub-floor.


Mo-flow Ventilation pre-filter material for a weathershield between the floors.


More Blackhole Tiles inside the pods.


Pods lined with 1/8” CCF and Soundskins speaker rings to make sure the vent holes are sealed to the floor.


Speaker connections nice and clean.

A lot of really boring tuning tracks. lol
Once it’s tuned…Ghost Rider-Felt will be the first track I cut loose. If that one does what I want it to everything else will be just fine.
