My dad just got a call from his salesman stating they are starting to get parts for the fix 1 car at a time minus the wiring harness so seems the action is really starting to pick up. I did decide to take the Aviator that was sitting outside and had their service department and my salesman (who has the exact Aviator except 2020) and then I have it a good once over and everything seems good and so glad I got the camera and not the delete. I get we have mirrors and in theory don't really need the cameras but I really like the 360 camera - never had one. Will keep everyone posted when my dad gets his done - crossing fingers for everyone else!

That’s great news! Curious, what does your Ford online tracking page show in terms of status now?
Just looked. All the buttons except order confirmed are turned off. Yours as well? Luckily I printed and saved the window sticker previously.

My dealer was following the truck moving this afternoon. It will arrive tomorrow (thursday) 10/19/23

Well after 2 1/2 weeks at the dealership for a list of things to be fixed including the rear camera which was replaced along with a new harness according to the paperwork today went to pick it up after getting a copy of the service orders , get it fired it up didn't get out of the parking lot and yes, you guessed it had to leave it again as something wasn't right possibly the brakes or cringe the rear axle bolt problem. I did get to drive it 2 blocks down the road to duplicate the noise to the service tech which they heard, and at least the transmission felt a whole lot better too at least for 2 blocks. Lol, lol, lol no not really laughing. Sad is more like it and of course a few other choice words I cannot say here. When I do get it back with all the fixing, I promise I will keep it clean in and out, give it the best gas and pamper it, as you never know when and how long you will be apart.

Screenshot of my tracking page below so its been "built" now for 2+ weeks without a further update. No updates from the dealership

@Mackdaddy - that sounds terrible... I can't imagine waiting this long for a new car and then getting something riddled with issues. If there are issues with my car when it eventually gets delivered to the dealer, that might be the final straw for me. I will make sure to get a solid test drive in before i sign any paperwork to take it home.

very inter

Wow interesting, so if i call my salesman up and request that he tracks the car's location, he should be able to give me a material update? Good luck getting the car before you leave!

JSal1105 - agree with "hell" at this point, its insanity. Honestly, if i knew i could get a really good discount, i would wait until January for delivery because all of the wind has already been taken out of my sails... What's another ~3 months at this point anyway? The one silver lining is that the salesman swears that i've locked in the financing rates from Late February and rates got significantly higher throughout the year, so in some sense it will pay (a little bit) to stay with my order rather than to have ordered a new example in august.

I live in Long Island NY and STs are pretty common. When i ordered mine, there were 3 or 4 on the lot i could have drove away with (this was well before recall date) and there were probably 6 other dealerships within driving distance that i could have shopped too. There was only one solitary reason that i ordered my ST and that was to get the 2nd row bench seat instead of captains chairs. They literally could not find a ST with bench within any reasonable distance... seems there is no significant market for them here, so I'm curious if that will give me any additional leverage
@CityLineOutdoors --Honestly my husband has been completely turned off by this since July he's been ready to tell Ford to go to hell since then. I'm the only one keeping this deal alive. He was able to push for some pretty decent incentives and money off the car, bc there is no way we're willing to pay full price on a 2023 that's been sitting for months. Should the car actually come in I will be pushing for even more, even mats, lol it's the least they can do. Someone on here made a good point on requesting to test drive it before we sign, i will def be adding that in as well. We're in the Westchester NY & CT area and I've found ST's but again couldn't be sold, also I'd lose the incentives tied to my original VIN.

Just FYI, my '23 came with both fabric mats and rubber molded mats. I was surprised since my 2020 only came with fabric mats.

@CityLineOutdoors - I have the same dilemna. Been as patient as I can be, but its the same old BS. 2024's will be out soon. Mine is built too and sitting waiting on a ride to the dealership. I saw other posts that showed shipment about 30 days after build. I guess we'll see....

In my garage! Ceramic gel on the same day as delivered.

To all..if the car is shown as complete, the dealer CAN see where the car is sitting. If it is inside the Chicago factory lot, it may not get out due to the strike. If it got shipped to another place for the camera fix, it has a chance of delivery. Mine went to Dearborn. Then we hounded the trucking company to go get it.

Hey Everyone, been following this forum for a while (ordered an ST early Aug) - curious whether anyone in Western Canada or US has any experience of how long shipping takes? My order has the 360 camera delete and the tracker says shipped as of Sep 21 and was originally estimated to arrive a week ago, but keeps getting pushed back, now to late Nov. I checked another Explorer that my dealer has on order and same thing is happening to that one, so I am doubtful whether it has actually left Chicago before the strike hit. Dealer is no help, just keeps telling me it is still in shipping.

Once car is on train it's 10-12 days to calgary,AB. If your dealership is northern alberta it's 14-16 days on train to get as far north as train goes in wester canada which is edmonton , Ab. Hope that helps.

The one I got isn't new but I not only test drove it first but got a pre-purchase inspection done by a mechanic before I even touched a pen. That enabled me to talk them down in price after a couple problems were sited on the inspection.
Trust no one at a stealership! Especially if you just met them, no matter how nice they seem.

If it says shipped and you are west, it probably got on a train. Your dealer can "see" it with an icon on a tracker. Make them look. Mine did!

I think I have some bad news. My ST had the camera update about a week ago to repair the blue screen issues and last night it again had a totally blue screen on the dash. I needed to put the car back in park and start over for the screen to clear. I will notify the Dealer on Monday to see where we go from here. I will monitor the issue to see if it reoccurs and update when I get more information. I'm sitting here sick for everyone trying to get through this issue.

Did they actually replace the camera, harness, etc, or was it just a camera software update? Iirc, your car was sitting on the lot for a while in a stop sale and was already built with the old 360, right? Trying to remember in between everyone lol…

… as a sidenote the 360 works great on our ‘23 Bronco Wildtrak which has tentatively replaced our ST order. Still watching for the Explorer but it is still stuck in Chicago since May. Not holding my breath for it arriving this year.

Ford came in a special service truck and replaced the rear camera system, and the harness, updated the software, and test-drove the ST. It took almost two hours to complete. I am watching the ST for it to blue screen again but as I said not a good sign. When it happens the entire screen will go blue and to clear it we put the ST back in park, waited a few seconds, and then put the ST back in reverse. The second time worked as it should.
