Ford Explorer ST Vehicle Order Tracking

Just got notice today that its in production. Order submitted nov 1st production start dec 23rd

Well, I was hoping to see this thing in person before the new year. Guess that was wishful thinking. Apparently the dealership said it had a “Chip Shortage” note on it as well. All of the modules and tear tag have populated on the “As Built” site so who knows what’s missing still. Anyone else having this issue and seeing a light at the end of the tunnel?

Mine has a very similar production date, however has been showing “Built” as of 12/17. ETA has slowly moved from 12/24 to 1/1 to 1/10.

Mine has been stuck "in production" since 11/23 and had a tentative delivery date of 12/17. Last week I finally found out it was missing chips and that's why it hadn't moved. As of yesterday, that date was still there, but no update as far as when it will arrive. I tried to log in this morning and it kept going back to the main tracking page where you put in your order and VIN number in. Not sure if they're updating their site.

For those that have taken delivery of a 22’ with no front license plate holder, was a lisence plate holder listed in your option area on your window sticker? I told the dealer I didn’t want one and live in a one plate state, I just got my window sticker and it’s listed in the options. Thank you

Mine was not on my window sticker and did not arrive with one.

I live in a 2 plate state but my dealer was in a one plate state, I didn't think about it and ended up having g to buy one from the dealer

Appreciate it! That’s pretty much what I’ve seen, most of the ones I see that are installed from the factory are listed as a no cost option. I’ll call the dealership Monday to see if it can be changed, if not I’ll cancel it and start over. It sucks because I have a build date is 1/3/22. I told them several times no front plate bracket.

I live in a one plate state but many times the front plate mount is installed on vehicles when looking around the lot. When I ordered mine a couple of days ago I wanted to make sure it did not have a front plate mount. The sales manager said that they all come with a front plate mount and it is up to the dealer to install it or not. I was always under the impression that they were installed at the factory but that is what he said. When looking at an ST that had just come in, I saw that there were some plastic pieces in with the floor mats. Maybe that was the mount? I did not think to look closer to confirm that.

I didn’t order it with one. I asked the dealer when I picked up. Sent me one for free. I’m actually wondering if there is any other way to install it without drilling into the paint.

My explorer has been sitting at the rail depot in Birmingham for a week waiting to get picked up and taken to Montgomery. My delivery date changed from 12/21 to 1/1

Ours has been sitting for 9 days now waiting to be picked up and taken 30 mins to the dealer. The date changed AGAIN Today. . The date changed to the 12/30. This is getting ridiculous, it has been in transport for over a month now and has been at the ramp 9 days waiting on the last leg of the trip to the dealership.

Received a bit of a surprise last night, my production date changed to an earlier date.

Here are the dates for the order so far:

• Ordered '22 ST (401A, moonroof, tech pack, 4wd) on 11/24/2021 (confirmed same day)
• Rec'd VIN on 12/2/2021 w/ production date on 2/7/2022
• Prod date changed to 1/17/2022 (via email received on 12/26/2021), still no window sticker available yet.

I never had access to the rail tracking so I'm not sure what it actually says at this point. The information I was given was from the from the dealer when I asked for a status update.

Unfortunately nothing since they told me a week ago that my car had to go back to the factory to have chips put in at some point. ‍♀️
I mean they told me their Ford rep wasn’t even sure of a time frame. I mean I get the chip shortage and all but come on.

I know some cars have to wait due to the chip shortage, but wanted to see if anyone who had ordered all those features, have received their car. I placed my order on 10/6. Thanks!

Mine had tech package but no moonroof. Delivered about a week ago.

Ours has tech pack no moon roof not delivered yet. Ordered in August. But last week our dealer had a tech pack moon roof customer order on the lot awaiting pickup.
