Ford Explorer ST Vehicle Order Tracking

For what it's worth.. it might be regionally but I doubt it at this point.. in our morning sales meeting, my GM pretty much said Explorer ST/Platinum with premium tech package and/or roofs are on serious delays.

Seems that is the package they are withholding to save chips.

The moonroofs have been a thorn since '20 on many Ford models! I don't like them, mostly because I want the roof rail weights. My '21 F-150 and Bronco Sport do not have them, and I received them before most who had ordered their vehicle with them several weeks (even months) before I did.

The chips are EVERYTHING right now.

(I wasn't expecting mine until late-April, posted such, and still believe that.)

I am starting to think part of this tracking thread needs to include the dealer priority code.. Mine being 19 I am sure hurt me

Mine was supposedly built last week and was to be delivered today. Today delivery got shifted to 2/27. I still have no as-built data for the pcm so I am assuming that is what they are waiting for. At least I am only an hour from the plant.

So when you grab something the dealer personally ordered you get a lower priority number. When you customer order your vehcile you should be given a priority code from 10-19. For example, mine says priority code 10. The higher the priority number, the further your car is out in production. It’ll come after everyone who has codes 10-19 and so on.

I wish to hell I would have ordered then. I went in mid Decenber so I figured since the dealer order was from September I would get that one first. It was the exact same build as I wanted.

I wish the dealer would have told you this. The fact they didn’t explain that bothers me but at least nay be now you know and it could explain why it’s taking so long. You always have the opportunity to put an order in and you may get that sooner than the one you put your name on at the dealer.

I doubt the EPA will let them take off the auto start stop.. we better be happy we still have a button we can turn it off with lol

Just got the email, Built today and expected delivery in 3 weeks. Ordered Oct 17th, in production off and on for the last 3 weeks, built today
