I will just add that IMO anybody interested in modding their vehicle should man up and accept that you could lose warranty and that’s simply the price you pay to play. Especially if you start extensive mods. Also IMO the Ford tune is a more than reasonable alternative for those concerned about warranty but wanting a boost in performance and better shifting.

Regarding @UNBROKEN, he does seek to poke the hornets nest occasionally but I look at that as just bullshitting with your buds, giving and receiving shit. No need to take offense at his comments. Life is too short especially when he contributes a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Everybody seems so good damn sensitive these days. Why do you let it bother you???

For sure. I don’t recall anyone noting that it bothered them? Maybe I missed something. Just an observation from my end.

Before tune I did only one 0-60 run with the dragy and got 5.56. Today I did a dragy fun with the FP tune. 0-60 4.90 1/4 13.30.

I enjoyed it. Keep the negative comments to yourself. This is for anyone interested in what a tune from Ford performance will do on a completely stock 2022 Explorer ST.
Is that launching from idle?

I don't block people, it's one of the joys of life to see differing opinions, but JFC dude, I honestly think your attitude is a large part of the reason this forum isn't growing more. You come in, shit on people and leave. You have SO much to contribute, but instead you just judge.

By the way, the lack of forum growth is a real thing, I have seen it first hand on other forums, when members with poor attitude leave. By no means am I asking anyone to leave, or saying anyone should, I am just pointing out what I see is an issue
This just made me think of something as I thought you were a different member at first. What happened to FireStarter, he has been silent for weeks!

Maybe he got tired of being a jerk on here.

Anyway...I got my first chance to do my commute post FP tune. I pretty much took it easy on the way to the office. Miles are about 7 on country road with several red lights, 4 or 5 city with several red lights, and about 34 highway which includes climbing a high and long bridge. On the highway I hit mid-70s but no higher. Averaged 48 mph for the trip. In Normal mode I averaged 24.6 mpg - I don't keep records but that seems a bit higher than what I achieved before tuning.

On the trip home, no mpg data. Traffic is always very thick and unless there's an accident, it moves quickly. For the first 15 miles or so I had it in Normal mode - I was a little surprised how quickly and smoothly I could pop around slower traffic. Between the boost in HP and the changes in transmission settings, it was smooth and effortless, requiring only a small press on the gas pedal. Once I got into the thicker traffic, where advantageous lane change opportunities are rare and must be executed quickly, I slipped it into sport - again, more responsive and enjoyable than usual.

That is all.

Ok, I had to step away because I obviously got too emotionally wrapped up in what was going on. I stand by everything I said, but I will drop it. I usually don't let stupid internet stuff get under my skin, but the constant condescension and disrespect finally got to me.

Back to arguing about which tune is better

So my posts alone are the reason for lack of growth for this forum?
lol
And FYI the FB group I run with a couple of other guys is growing like a weed. I don’t post any differently there.
I joined this forum 2 days after purcashing my ST back in 2020, and you are actually the reason I left for roughly a year. Certainly no one noticed or cared that I was gone, but that isn't my point. My point is simply to reinforce what I said about lack of growth.

Anyways, I'm over it, on to bigger and better things

Since everyone’s here to chat about both tunes…..What times could someone expect with an upgraded intercooler and zfg 93 octane tune only?

About 2000 launch
I asked because the dragy graph looks funny at the very beginning. Looks like it wasn't in boost when it was launched, or at least similar to mine when i launch from idle. Might have a little more in it.

Definitely has more in it. That was just a quick run to see what it would do. I hope to get a couple more runs in when I have time.

Post them in the dragy thread whenever you do. That thread needs more different tune times.

Is there a difference between a FenFab high flow intake vs the AFE cai?
