This is the first time I'm hearing about someone selling their FPTune. If you unmarry it from your car, are you sure you can simply install it on another car? Other tunes are one per VIN#. Even Livernois, which uses the same device will charge $300 to be able to use the device with another VIN#.

That was my question. Don’t want to buy it and end up paying more than new.

I'm almost positive these are VIN locked and can't be reset for another vehicle... Unless something has changed. I have the procal for my now sold Mustang GT and it's locked even after returning to stock.

You should contact Ford Performance support. The Ranger forum is saying they will rest the device and give a voucher for another VIN.
