Found this steering wheel cover.

I stumbled across stitchingcover.com and for the 50ish price point decided to roll the dice. It seems to be well made and the materials are good also…now to see if I can remember how to lace on a wheel cover.

Did you choose genuine leather for the top and bottom of the wheel?

I just received my perforated leather version. Feels pretty good. Going to be a few days until I can install it.

I have another one on the way also. Perforated leather sides, normal leather too and bottom with a red sight line again. I don’t really like how suede feels when I’m driving. Never posted the first one here I guess.

How did you pop off the airbag? Is it 2 tabs that get pushed aside? Any advice on the install of the cover?

About a 3mm flat ended allen wrench to pop the spring loose through the 2 holes in the back of the steering wheel. It always seems to be easiest to do the right side first. Once you feel the spring push in on it while you slightly pull out on the airbag then repeat on the other side. Then it’s just unplugging electrical studs.

Hows it feel like its holding up quality wise? Been thinking about trying one on my spare wheel for my Vette. Guess for that price its worth the gamble.

No complaints at all other than the feel of suede on my hands…just not my thing.

Thats fair, might pull the trigger on one! Love the look on yours! How hard was it to stitch?

Not hard at all it’s just pulling the thread back and forth through the stitching that’s already there.

I have the GT350 Alcantara wheel on my GT and I like the feel. It’s somewhat of a pain to clean but that’s my only complaint. I’m assuming the suede is a different feel so I’ll probably stay away from that on the ST.

The wheel is just cocked a little bit…it’s straight. You literally have to line it up right or the spokes won’t cover correctly.

How hard is it to get the wheel off? Decades ago you needed a steering wheel puller.
