I registered on the 5th, never received an activation email. I clicked on the resend activation email button and a message states no username/email matches. Is there a restriction on free email domains for registration purposes?

Anyone else go through all the correct motions and it not work? I did everything exact in this video except format the drives since im on a mac. All loading screens showed correct and the same as the video. I tried both USB and USB-C ports. Carplay is still showing on half the screen. My sync is 3.4

You can still format your USB drives with MAC. I used my macbook and formatted them to exFAT. Regardless, if the steps all progressed as planned except for the final usb (fullscreen mod), try and look at the log to see what it says. Also Sync 3.4 version needs to be 23188

I tried that right about the time of my previous post, no luck. I'm rocking a 25 year old hotmail.com email address as my primary personal email, so I set up an alias with an @outlook.com domain and used that. I got an activation email instantly. I guess they don't like hotmail.

My logs look the same and I am on 23188.

New version of Beta2 released that should help with these issues when coming from alpha. See Telegram Sync 3 Mods & Apps Thread. Try it out and let us know. Make sure to have your original stock files placed in backup folder of new beta2 before running.

I just tried it and am getting the same errors as the previous beta2 when upgrading from alpha. Stock files were placed in the backup folder correctly.

Updated sync version via USB then went went through the 4 mod USB again and it worked. Thanks!

Did mine last night on my 2020 ST no issues. The best way to get the jailbreak to work on mine was to start to hold down the buttons and insert the USB at the same time and as soon as it reboots remove the USB. Tired the insert first and reset did not work.

Yes and no. To install the mod, you have to "jailbreak" Sync 3 which technically does void your warranty, but my understanding is that the void only applies to Sync 3/Infotainment if you end up breaking something.... for example, even if you install the jailbreak and this mod, Ford cannot deny you warranty repair on let's say, the engine, or the doors, unless they can prove your modification of Sync was the cause of those items breaking, which really isn't possible, nor could Sync break those anyway. They can however, deny you warranty repair of Sync if let's say during the jailbreak process, you brick the Sync unit and it needs to be replaced.

In reality, the changes made to Sync by the jailbreak and mod are easily reversible and unlikely to break anything as long as you follow the directions. And worst case, you can revert to stock if you are worried and ever need to have warranty work involving Sync done. The jailbreak and mod do not require modifying physical hardware, it is all in software so Sync 3 can be reformatted back to full stock.

Thanks! I was just curious because I was watching NaviUpgrade and I got to the part where he was going over if you have a my20 unit you will brick your unit with this mod. I have an older 21 st and was jw what the odds of me having a my20 unit would be.

Not sure what NaviUpgrade is but my MY2020 was built in 6/2019. the fullscreen mod works just fine. Make sure you are on Sync 3.4 23188. The good folks doing the mod have been good about assisting people who neglected to back up their files are where the early versions may not have backed them up properly.
