I will post another video with the yeysua when i get a chance. Its connection speed is pretty typical for a carplay dongle. There are a few times i have to unplug and replug it if it doesn't connect or sometimes reboot Sync. A lot depends if i pull out of my garage before Sync fully boots. ...same as other Carplay dongles though.
Is it at least faster than the android smart box devices? That’s the main thing.

I guess the most aggravating part is what works for one may not work for another. That’s been my experience.

I've only tried one AI box. It had a long bootup but it booted up to full blown Android 13. Carplay dongles should bootup and connect much faster... although not usually as fast as the claims.

I realize that everyone's experience and preferences are different. That being said, what kind of no-lag are you looking for? Sometimes the first input is delayed on my device but response is great. Compared to wired it's never the same but I'm very happy with it.

Got mine on sale for $30 so it varies a lot in price. Hope it's helpful (https://a.co/d/0NIo7dO)

After doing the Fullscreen mod, most of us have noticed a lag when touching the screen. This is with WIRED. For some reason a few wireless dongles and AI boxes have minimal lag. Ive tried a few dongles and only two that had a the settings pages that i posted earlier had low lag. The other ones it's noticeable and frustrating... just like wired. The AI box had low lag but it booted up much slower and into Android full version with the option for Carplay or AA from there. If you found one you are happy with, that's all that matters.

Seems long but when Sync boots up simultaneously, it doesn’t seem as long.

Also shows low lag touches. Dragging a list with your finger on the screen will also show how laggy the dongle is.

I have bought and returned five dongles now through Amazon and I’m tired of the trial and error lol. I’ll take the long boot up in exchange for no lag.

I stopped at 3, and two of them interfered with my dash cam. They all kept Car Play on the menu button even though I was using AA. Also none of them would automatically load AA

I must have missed that because I don't have any lag with wired. I know i've had issues with connection and certain cables. Don't want a cheap cable. My dongle has slight delay at first but wired is same as it was before the fullscreen mod.

Interesting. I wonder why it's different for people. the delay is very noticeable and something that wasn't there before the Fullscreen mod for me.

Normal CarPlay I wouldn't have ever considered snappy so maybe i'm just less hung up on the responsiveness? I know the cable and dongle made the biggest diff for me. Just stoked that I can use the entire screen now. Stutter here and there or delay at beginning is small trade off IMO.

Initial impressions of the yeysua $20 adapter, boots up extremely fast and is definitely the fastest most responsive adapter I’ve used.

ONLY issue is it doesn’t seem to interface with the main digital gauge display. Meaning the music title doesn’t appropriately show in the top middle and if you get a call, it doesn’t appear nor can you use the steering wheel buttons.

cdubya, have you experienced this?

Having said all that, it otherwise so far is a great experience. I’ve only had it for a day so we will see.

I'll keep an eye on it. It's a nice feature but not a deal breaker for me. I had thought that all the 2024+ dongles I tested did have the track title listed appropriately on the dash. I'll verify the Yeysua tomorrow...
