What's the consensus on this exhaust? I'm thinking about doing something but don't want the car to be very loud - a little louder or loud under WOT is fine but this is my wife's car and she won't be happy if it's loud in the cab. I think this exhaust sounds good from sound clips and apparently isn't very loud?

Thanks for any info.

I personally never liked the sound of a Gibson. Thermal 2.5 is my favorite on these cars.

I never was really a fan of Gibson either, but curious to see what people think of it who have it.

Not-a-fan camp. Stay stock or get a real exhaust.

Agreed, especially since it doesn’t replace the crappy flex pipes.

I was one of the first retail customers to get this exhaust. Still on my ST and sounds fantastic. Gives a real nice rumble without the Honda rasp that so many other kits have. No drone and not stupid loud either. The price is right, too - got mine for just over $500. Fit great, tips look nice as well. Zero complaints.

Can you send me the link to where you purchased just north of $500? I personally like the sound as well.

I got it directly from Gibson at that deal since I promoted it and probably helped some initial sales. That was four years ago, though. I have no idea what it costs today, but I imagine you can search and find deals. Either way, it was way cheaper than the full kits and sounds better than any of them in my opinion.

The price of most things have gone up a lot the last 4 years. So I doubt it can be found for that price now but good luck.

I currently have a Thermal 3”, which my wife hates. I’m going back to stock, but purchased the Gibson mufflers. Do you or anyone have any audible comparisons between the two?
I don’t want to hack the exhaust, only for my wife to hate it too
We’re a one car family, so she has no other options to drive
