The only way to fix that Oldsmobile is to burn it with fire. Wonder if he did all that or had a shop do it.

I mean he only wants $22,500 for it....Must have cost that much in bodywork and bondo. Never have I seen such a mish-mash of years and styles! Not only does it have non-functional ram air scoops, but it also includes a vintage non-functional Roots blower cap. The most valuable thing I can spot is the 70s Olds sport steering wheel. Hard to come by and worth a few hundred bucks.

I have a soft spot for the early 70’s Cutlass having owned a 70,71, and 72 models. Wonder if that could be brought back without too much trouble? Definitely not worth what he’s asking.

Nah, forget it. My dad worked at Olds in Lansing, and I grew up with 442s. Put myself through college fixing them up (because I'd accumulated a TON of parts). First car a 65 442 convertible, on to a 70 442, followed by 69 W-31, 68 Hurst Olds, 66 tri-power, 72, 70 W-30, 69 convertible.... The one thing it taught me was to buy the absolutely best car you can afford, then fix it up. That one I wouldn't have tried even when I had the big garage.

All of my engines were 350's. Sounds as if you had some 455's. Was born and raised Buick, Olds, Pontiac, and a Chevy once an awhile. Didn't start buying Fords until they hired me.

Yes, 455s for the Hurst Olds (68 and 69) and 70 and later 442s. Earlier models were 400s. W-31 was the only 350. It had the optional 4.44 differential. Nothing like rolling down the road at 70 at 4000 rpm! It was bought by a guy for drag racing and had radio and carpet delete options as well for weight savings!
