I had to do a hard reset several times. About a month after that I took my ST into Ford for service and had them do a major reset with their computer. I have not had an issue since then. I have updated to the lastest Sync 3 version that came out weeks ago. I also have updated my maps at the same time.
Updating to the latest Sync version helps a lot with these problems. Also, I turned off breadcrumbs in Navigation settings. It causes errors and crashes and unnecessary if you're not off-roading in the wilderness.
