Hey Everyone,
I am new to this forum as I recently purchased a 2022 Ford Explorer ST w/ 7k miles on it. I came from a VERY pro Chevy/GM family filled with mechanics that were not exceptionally happy I purchased a Ford! That being said, I moved from a 2015 Tahoe LTZ that I absolutely needed for my two young sons at the time, as well as pulling a 17' camper. It was also the most expensive vehicle I had ever purchased, so I was very connected to that car and loved it. Now those kids are older, we really don't camp as much as we used to because of sports and travel, and I was sick of the gas mileage I was getting traveling 76 miles round trip to work daily. I was hours away from going to see my 3rd newer version of the Tahoe when I ran across Tyler Clark's videos on social media. On the way was a Ford dealership that Car Gurus said had an ST on the lot. I was immediately smiling when I drove it. I knew it wouldn't be the one I bought, but that I had to investigate further. I loved the captains chairs and I can squeeze my kids in the 3rd row when my elder parents ride with us. (Added bonus, it's easier for my parents to get in versus the Tahoe) I didn't want to go all black again because my Tahoe was all black and keeping it clean was excruciating. So far I've put 2k miles on it in that last month. (part of the new family car thing... you take it everywhere, so I will start being more cautious on the miles) Love the power and the feel and I still smile... Also my kids and Wife love it which is very important. Here are a few things I hope to learn/do/ask of this forum:

- My 2022 is rear climate/Hands Free liftgate DELETE due to the chip shortage when manufactured. Is that reversable? It seems to plumbed for it right?
- New intercooler seems to be the most "voted" on first mod because of heat soak. It seems to me pretty much all upgraded versions are very similar, any particular brand I should stay away from?
- The constant release of the parking brake was VERY annoying at first, now it's just part of the routine I don't think about much. That being said, the second "big" issue I have heard about this vehicle is that I have a 1 pin set up on the rear diff. I was looking at the Steeda diff brace and was wondering if it works as well as the website says.
- I blacked out the badges and ordered a blackout package on the center council because the silver was scratching so easily with phones and other things.
- My next step will be to tent the front two windows and order my intercooler.
- Ever get a new vehicle and then notice a lot of them on the road? Yeah this is happening to me non-stop and it's making me want to change the wheel/tire combo. I am also not trying to drop $5k to do it, so I'm always looking for quality deals.
