Good afternoon guys. Looking to see if you guys have any idea what this cable connector is in our Explorer ST’s.

The connector in question is located in the trunk, under the headliner, attached to the roof of the car, where the antenna and gps antenna wires are located. I am asking specifically what the white connector is for. What is its function?
(example photo will be attached)

I have searched all over the web looking for a little insight and all to no avail, i was unable to find anything i regards to what this connector might actually be. Any help or insight is much appreciated thank you!

Suspect its active noise control, coax cable from connector that connects to a module that connects to a microphone?

From what little I’ve read & what I’ve been told; it’s apparently for “HD Radio”. Thanks a ton!

Mods can feel free to close this thread or move it to the appropriate section.
