Hey everyone! I'm Chris and I just purchased my one owner '21 ST in May of 2024. 38,000 miles when purchased. I love it! It's a blast to drive! I'm 6'4, so I love the roominess inside. I love the looks of it, the power, and the features.

Anyone know a good tuning shop in or near the Kansas City area that works on STs? According to YouTube, the first thing to do is upgrade the intercooler. Would I need better brakes if I did that? I'd like to upgrade the exhaust too. It's sounds good inside the truck now, but I want to give it a little more rumble. I don't think I'll lower it. I like how high it rides. Anyway, I'm proud to join the group! Have fun in your STs! Screenshot_20240807_184223_Chrome.jpg

Welcome. Would you NEED better brakes? ST is a pretty good platform in stock mode. Having said that many of us have WANTED more horsepower, better brakes, styling changes, etc

Welcome to the forum! First off, remote tuning is awesome, you don’t need to have a tuner in your area, ZFG Racing and Goosetuned are amazing remote tunes that are inbeatable. Second, check out Tyler Clark on YouTube, he’s in Kansas City too, and well documents the capabilities of the ZFG tune. Also, here’s my modding guide so that you can have all the modding info in one place instead of hundreds of YouTube videos:

Thanks for the info! Your guide has lots of helpful tips. I'm looking for a shop to do the upgrade work, such as changing out the intercooler, the diff bolt, adding a catch can, etc. Or will the Ford dealerships do some of that type of mod work? Wrenching on this thing is a little out of my league.

Ford dealers could do it, but they tend to be a lot more expensive then independent shops.

Congrats and welcome.

Get an intercooler and get a tune from ZFG. No need to do local tuning.
