One feature that Ford removed on the 2025 that is welcomed, is the automatic parking brake. Gone is the need to reach down and de-activate the parking brake or blip the throttle to dis-engage. On the 25, the parking brake stays off until you flip the switch. Either that or it automatically disengages when you enter Drive or Reverse.
After driving my 23 for a year, I still find myself reaching down with muscle memory trying to turn that b@stard off, even when it's not on.
And I don't think Forscan could even kill the dreaded automatic parking brake.
Interesting. Would be weird for Ford to change that since the 25s still have the 1-bolt rear end and they found it necessary to put on all post-2021 vehicles.

So I was paying attention to the parking brake today as I was running errands. On initial start up in my carport, the brake was not engaged. Later, I was at the pressure wash and I was parked on a slight incline and the brake automatically engaged, when put in park. I checked the "off-road" gauge and it showed 0.1 incline. Back at home, in my carport which is perfectly level, the brake did not engage. So it seems like the brake gets automatically engaged if the vehicle detects an incline.

That’s interesting. Weird why Ford would do that because even if the vehicle isn’t on an incline, there’s still a rollaway risk, which was there reasoning behind the automatic parking brake.
