Am I missing something? I’m following the directions on the owners manual on the vehicle… I can’t get anything to sync up. Is there a trick? I’ve reprogrammed new handheld openers for 2 garage doors and external keypads…. All work, but the damn ST won’t !!! I’m not an IT guy but I handle all the tech at work and home, it shouldn’t be this difficult!

Try going to Homelinkcom site and input your car and garage door opener for specific programming instructions. I had the same problem as you and followed them and it worked first try.

I followed the instructions in owners manual and it took all of 30 seconds to work.

Here's a little trick I discovered about 6 years ago that they don't tell you in the instructions in the owners manual. TURN ON the IGNITION. You don't have to start the vehicle, but you do need the ignition on. Then follow the instructions and you be working in about 30 seconds.

lol. Yup, tried ignition on, car running and any other combo.
I tried for about a week, multiple cars, 2 different doors… every one worked but mine!

So tonight I asked my son to help me one more time…. He pushed the button on the garage door motor, I did the car…. Same as it’s been done many times before….

It friggin worked on the first shot!
