Has anyone used the Livernois intercooler and able provide any real data on it? Dragy runs, time slips, even some observations of intake temps would be fine.

Judging by the pictures, it's definitely the biggest intercooler for an ST as far as frontal area goes. I'm assuming it's a 2" core but can't really tell and they don't mention anything, so there could be others with more volume. I think it's the cheapest option I've seen aswell, aside from the Whipple/CVF clones on ebay for like 450usd.

Really want to see some data on one before I buy. Adam from ZFG said that's what I need now more than anything. I bought the 93 DMS tune and it's insane so far, but my intake temps were at 210+ mid pull on the last Data Log I'd sent him.

If I don't end up going with the Livernois, I'm heavily contemplating the Ultimate Performance intercooler with the 3" Garrett core. Virtually zero data on that from what I'm seeing aswell. Anyone ever run either of these or even a CPE Intercooler?

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum! You really aren’t going to notice a difference in one dragy run with an intercooler, it’s the back to back runs that’ll show the improvements of a larger intercooler. The stock intercooler is literally a joke. From what I’ve seen, all the intercooler perform about the same. I have never seen any comparisons among them mostly because they all perform pretty well. Just find the cheapest intercooler that’s not one of the eBay specials, and you’ll be just fine.

You won’t be able to tell a difference between any of the good options on the market. Buy the one that’s on sale….usually CVF with Tyler Clark’s discount code is the best deal going.

$650 OBO would be a good starting point. Not shipping is going to make the circle very small though.

Yeah I agree but it's a big heavy box. Probably would cost $100 to ship.

I listed it in the for sale thread at $600

I actually purchased and installed the Livernois Intercooler. I think about 30 days ago. Function of the intercooler seems right on par with everything else on the market on a 75° day making a run through Mexico the charge air temps were less than 90° at full load on a 93 Octane tune in 4th gear. SO performance is good. Install wise I have some gripes.

First they fully cast the hooks that mount the top of the intercooler, I ended up touching mine up with a grinder to chamfer the leading edge about 1/8" to get a good install.

Second the supplied metal supports at the bottom only 3 of the 4 holes lined up with the intercooler bosses, and the lengths were not 100% correct for my ST. I ended up straightening them in a vise then re bending them which I do not believe will be an issue since they are galvanized steel.

Third issue which I think caused me the most headache was the top bracket that bolts into the radiator shroud, that Livernois should do differently in my opinion. Mine was welded on at the top and was the worst looking weld of the intercooler, and I believe it was too far offset and that caused me issues bolting everything back together. This pushed the intercooler too forward and conflicted with getting the upper radiator shroud snap clips to engage, many incorrect tools and bad words were used. In face the intercooler is so far forward that the hood latch spring boss basically rides on the face of the intercooler. I have been monitoring mine for wear and 5,000 miles in I have not witnessed any. THAT may indicate how tight the fit was. If they would shorten the bracket at the top 1/4" and send 2-3 standard washers that would be used for shims.

Also I had to get the big zipties from Harbor Freight for the lower shroud as none were included.

@BBGun242 Yikes, that is closer than I'd like for that hood latch spring. Are you stock aside from the IC? I'd like to see some real data on it if you could log a pull or two and share it here for everyone.

I'm still saving for my intercooler, but glad you posted about your install. I'm likely still gonna go with the Livernois IC aswell, but good to know it's gonna be a inconvenience on the install. I am NOT looking forward to modding mine. Seems everything is hard to get to

All that seems more then it's worth for the Livernois intercooler.

Have to agree with that. With all the intercoolers performing basically the same, why not go with one that is known to be an easier install. Unless I’m missing something magical about the Livernois.

Here is a datalog from this afternoon. For reference the ambient temp was 71°.

This was getting on the freeway so I ran through gears 2-5.

Nice lack of heat soak!
