Is everyone ok with the giant tablet and terrible bezel?

I'm on my 2nd ST (2020, now 2023) I did get used to it, but I still don't like the design. Occasionally it freezes, it is a Ford.

Curious to know why you changed within 3 yrs?

Sounds like a good guess. I've never leased, but that makes good sense.

There is a thread on another forum where some people are trying to reverse engineer a jailbroken sync 3.4 10.1" display to do what we all want it to do. They have made some progress. If you are good with programming, you might be able to help.

Well, I agree it looks like a ipad setting there. However it's become a great hat holder as I'm rolling down the road instead of it falling and sliding back and forth.

The first thing out of anyone's mouth when they get into my ST is about that iPad looking display. I say, "The engineer at Ford that green lit the infotainment system should have their degree taken away."

I've owned 8 Explorers through the years and have NO problem with Fords quality. None of my Explorers required anything more than oil, lube, tires and brakes. My newest Explorer is my cherry red ST. I'm not having any problems with Sync, maybe because I haven't upgraded, and no problems mechanically. My old Explorers were passed down to my daughters and they all reached 200K miles without more than what I've already stated. I have faith in ford.

I didn't like the giant tablet when I first saw it at the dealership, but once I drove it home it grew on me. I have no issues with it except the occasional reverse blue screen that they can't sem to fix.

Actually, I don't mind vertical orientation. What I do mind is the absolutely horrible use of available screen space in virtually every mode/selection/screen. Ford, you can do better than this...or maybe not?
