Hello, I tossed a quick intro on the new members page…
This is my wife’s Nov. 2022, I’ve already done a few easy cosmetic mods, I’m not going too crazy with it but it’ll be a little different than the other 10 in the Costco parking lot.
Same, we just picked up a Silver ST for the wife. It needs exhaust bad, those fake tips with the turn downs have to go!!! I like the RED!! Illhave to get some pics up here soon. Keep us posted with pics and maybe a video of that Borla S-Type!! Thx!!
You should consider moving the wire connection a little to the left as that ECU cover will rub through the insulation on the wires. I have the same cover and drilled some holes on the brace just to the left to fix this issue.

I don’t think Borla sells just mufflers, I have the whole cat back system, I just pulled the mufflers out of the box to make sure that they weren’t damaged and to show them to my wife.

Yeah too bad, was hoping Borla had a cheaper option for sound and tips. Just getting back into the car modification world since mid 90s.
Did you disable the fake engine noise after installing the Borla system?

Doing the Borla today, not familiar with the fake engine noise? Is it a baffle inside?
I know I won’t really see a HP gain and the S is a mellower tone compared to the Attack. I just absolutely hate the stock turned down exhaust. I pointed it out when we bought it, the dealer said it was to keep the tips looking clean??
When we got into the car I hopped onto Borla’s site and ordered them.

Yeah no real HP gains from cat back exhaust unless you're doing serious mods as well. Post a video of the post install with sound if you can.
Fake engine noise or as Ford calls it "Fake Engine Noise Generator" (FENG). It's audio added inside your car through the speakers to "enhance" the engine/exhaust sound. It's very noticeable in Sport mode. Not sure about the other drive modes. You can disable it with the FORScan tool. Some people do, some don't.
Gotcha, I know you can gain “crackle and pops” with certain tunes, no really my thing…
First Ford I’ll be playing with, our other car is a tuned AMG63S. It’s exhaust is stock, just a little raspy on sport mode.
I got it thru Lethal Performance, made by FENFABrication. About $65, several colors to choose from, I picked red, it was too flat for me so I had it powder coated to match everything else. The ST logo is cut out so I cheated and used a piece of silver duct tape taped to itself and it covered the ST perfectly and matches the exterior color.
