I got home from about a 50 minute drive yesterday and noticed an unusual smell. Upon inspection this morning I do have fluid on the bottom of the diff on the driver's side as well as some build up around the axle/diff connection. Has anyone else had a similar issue? It's a 2020 with 37k miles so should be a warranty item but with zero service history at my local dealer as well as my modifications I'm not sure I should count on that. 20240724_080813.jpg 20240724_080828.jpg

There's quite a few on the front diff but I am unable to find much on the rear after several altered searches. If you know of one of two specifically please point me in that direction.

There’s quite a few on the Facebook forum and buried here somewhere.

Rear is not common but should be an easy powertrain warranty. But you better hurry, some 2020's are past the 5 year mark, including my own.

Scheduled an appointment for this morning only to get there and them tell me it'll be 2 to 3 days before they can even look at it. As far as time goes I got it in Dec 2020 so I'm good on time and mileage.

I recently had rear differential replaced along with the transfer case at 52,000 miles.

I'm going to assume you had the 2 bolt diff. Did they replace with the same? Also did you have any modifications to the car that they tried to point to as a reason to not replace?

Just heard back and they're saying the seal is leaking on that side of the dif. They're covering it but claiming that it's happening because of my HR lowering springs even though they were installed and I got the alignment done shortly there after and they were able to get it within factory specs.

Yeah that’s not right, least they’re covering it though.
