Low Bass Sound During Deceleration

2022 Ford Explorer ST with 48,000 miles having a low droning bass sound during deceleration. It’s very noticeable when slowing down with RPM’s in 1500 to 1000 range. Feel slight vibration but mainly annoying sound every time I slow down. Tried putting in neutral when decelerating but doesn’t go away. Does not happen when accelerating. This happens in normal drive mode. Any ideas on what this is?

Not likely engine or exhaust if it doesn’t change when you put it in neutral. My best guesses would be possibly a tire problem or an issue in the drivetrain like driveshaft bearing or diff issue.

Service dept replaced transfer case but it did not repair this issue. Tech thinks possibly something with sound enhancement system?? Not sure what that means.

There’s Fake Engine Noise. Makes engine sounds through stereo. You can turn it off using Forscan. Dealer should be able to turn it off and test it. If it goes away after turning it off that’s the issue. Janay of us turned it off asap after buying.
