Motorized grinding sound when approaching

Hello,
I recently purchased a 2020 Explorer ST. When I approach the vehicle and open the drivers' door after letting the vehicle sit for a while, I hear a motorized/grinding sound coming from somewhere under the hood... It almost sounds like a parking break engaging. Does anyone know what that could be? I assume it's some sort of "preflight" startup task for the vehicle.

Fuel pump priming?

My 2011 Ford Flex Ecoboost would prime the fuel system when you unlocking door.

Parking brake engagement sounds like you're slowly letting the air out of a balloon. I heard it today when I put the front up on ramps in the garage & had the drivers window open. Strangest sound yet from the ST.
