Rest of the plastics are finished, foglights are sealed, just waiting on a few components for the headlights, the taillight lenses to be finished, and then final reassembly!
Nice

100% thrilled with biting the bullet and going full paint match. I know it's not gunna be to everyone's likings... BUT once the carbon parts, new emblems, and headlights go in... I think folks will like it 20211228_165919.jpg 20211228_165928.jpg

I’ll wait to see the whole thing but that’s entirely too much blue right now. Hopefully y’all have a plan to break it up.
FYI when you add pics if you click on “full image” after you load them they’ll be full size instead of thumbnails.

Been following this one closely, Curious to see what you do with the headlights! (how bad we're they to get open?) I'll agree its a little more blue than my liking at the moment but after seeing your other builds I have faith you'll pull it off. Looking forward to seeing the final product!

Things are looking good! I do have a suggestion about all of the moldings painted body color. I would assume the painter added some sort of flex agent to help with impacts. Our lower rockers in front of the rear wheels are getting peppered by gravel, affecting the finish. I just 303 all my black plastic. You may want to consider adding some paint protection vinyl in those areas.

I open the headlights the less common way. I have a $1500 ultrasonic cutting tool. So opening was easy enough. Taking them apart was a good bit more tedious though.

And thank you!

Oh yeah, ppf is 100% happening! The amount of construction in our 100 mile radius = rock chips galore. It's ridiculous

Picked the wife up a new explorer last Friday. Going to do a bunch of custom parts for it, potentially manufacture and offer some, and do a complete makeover.

Got all the plastics off. Head and fogLights off and opened. And a bunch of parts on order.
I've been watching for updates on Youtube and Facebook but haven't see anything lately, how are things progressing?

I realized after that question I hadn't seen all the pages, so sorry about that. It's looking great, can't wait to see the finished product.

That's looking really nice. I'd love to get into my headlights and fog lights and get rid of that chrome. It's the only chrome on my vehicle but the idea scares the ()$^% out of me because I'd have no idea what I was doing, lol.
