While doing an oil change recently on my ‘21 Explorer I discovered what appears to be a broken stud with matching nut laying in my undertray. The stud and nut are M8x1.25mm, and the remaining stud is 22mm of thread/26mm end to remaining end. This was on the extreme left side of the truck near the LF tire, but obviously it could have slid around/over to there on the undertray.

I’ve looked and looked at everything I can think of a see nothing loose, rattling or missing. I’ve also driven it for maybe 1,000 m8,es since I found this and nothing seems off. This stud reminds me of what’s used to attach the turbo to the head/manifold, but I used my boroscope to confirm all the fasteners for the turbo still appear to be there. I also checked and confirmed all my downpipe studs are present and accounted for, plus they’re a larger thread/pitch anyway. Engine mod-wise, my ST has a CVF intercooler, CVF downpipes, 3” thermal exhaust and AFE intake.

Does anyone have any ideas for other stuff I should check as a possible source of this broken stud/nut? I’m attaching several pics. The lighting looks a bit different as I took the pics at two different times, but it’s all the same stud/nut.
