Mystery solved!!

Well I have 2700 miles now on my 2020 ST that has a build date of 09/20. From day 1 I noticed a noise coming from the driver's side when you steer hard or apply breaks hard or gas it a little.

Today I decided was the day to find the cause of the noise before I loose my mind. I got my wife to drive while I laid down in the back floorboard while I listened under the driver seat, I could hear the noise very clearly!! It was a repeatable noise so I knew it was a object that had to be rolling around. I pulled the driver seat out rolled back the carpet and I spoted the problem immediately!! A screw that the assembly line person uses to fasten a ground under the seat was left inside the floorboard boxed in area and thus would roll around making a noise like a pinball in a pinball machine rolling!
Anybody had any similar experiences??

Nice find! Only a couple factory oops on my Platinum - they left off the hood bumper on the passenger side, and missed out on the retention clip for the right rear door shade.

To be fair, I'd never hear a bolt rattling around with the music pumped up; but when there was a water leak onto the guts of the stereo in the right rear, I had no volume, so I probably would have heard it in the deafening silence while I rode around for a couple days.

My 2017 Mustang had an almost identical problem. Fortunately I bought from a great dealership with a great service department and they found and corrected my problem.
I am glad you were able to find your "Monday" factory screw up BUT if I was you I'd be supper pissed that I had to do it and not your dealers service department!

Good find! It's a shame you had to tear into your ST to find it. Funny story. Back in the 90's I bought a new '95 F150 Lightning. Wired to the frame was a 12" grinding disc, painted the same time the frame was, flopping in the wind. How do you miss that?
