Hey all,
I just purchased a new 2023 Explorer ST this past Friday.
Traded in a 2023 Dodge Durango R/T Plus Blacktop package. (Engine replaced at only 5,000 miles due to a major oil leak that could not be repaired, then the new engine developed an oil leak with only 4,000 miles on it) Time to unload it! Hated to but we had no choice.

Wife fell in love with this ST the instant she laid eyes on it.

Looking forward to learning more about this Explorer and this awesome forum!

Welcome!
I am truly sorry to hear the Durango horror story, you had it way worse than my Ford Fusion Energi!
With any luck, your ST will be much better.
Take a look at recalls, and if you have the 3-bolt diff (IIRC everyone will on a '23), you might want to look at one of the diff stiffening options. (Especially if you like jumping on it haha)

Thank you! Yeah I hated to let the Durango go but it was definitely a headache dealing with all those issues.
So far I checked for recalls and such, still not showing any.
I’ll check to see if it has the three bolt.
Build date is 11/23

You probably have a 3 bolt with that build date.

Is this something I need to be concerned about and address at the dealership?

There is a recall, but it isn't going to fix much - it'll still be 3 bolts.
Again, if you're going to jump on it - get one of the diff stiffeners. Even expensive ones are $500, which is pretty cheap, bolt-on-able insurance.
(I'm looking at grabbing the Steeda, with the front diff poly bushing add-on so it's balanced, but it adds a little more effort to install)

YMMV, but I'm not bending or snapping a diff bolt because I want to go tooling around like a madman a few times.

I appreciate the info. New to Ford and learning all I can.

Welcome and congrats on the new ST. I love the red and it was the first color I test drove.
What part of NC are you located?
I'm in Waxhaw just south of Charlotte.

Thank you. Yes the red is really growing on me.
I’m north of Asheville.
