After 45+ long days, it’s finally almost done. Received and agreed to settlement terms with Ford today.
Apparently Ford thinks it’s 1975 and they physically mail everything from headquarters to the dealership here in CA. Ridiculous.
Ultimately they’ve made me whole, and I’ll turn over the keys next Wednesday. (I’m appreciative and grateful they took responsibility and handled the buy back responsibly.)
Ironically, if anyone along the chain of command in the service side had been even half as competent as the buy back team, this all could have been avoided.
At the end of the day, I’m happy to be out, and walk away from Ford for a while. I won’t say I’ll never buy another Ford, but it’ll be a while, and they’ll have to demonstrate a better commitment to customer service and quality control.
Already in the process of buying a new Acura RDX.
Wish you all well, and thank you for my time here as a member.
