Today whilst doing some forscsn items, I did some data logging
Intake temp, oil pressure, generator voltage,
Etc
Oil pressure caught my eye as bouncing between 19 and 22 psi at 650 rpm plus or minus 50 rpm
That seemed OK, but struck me at how little it changed in pressure as I let it high idle at 1k rpm. 22 was pretty steady
Book says it's normal
But I thought it would be a bit higher

I haven't looked on the Explorer ST yet, but its likely the same setup as the Ecoboost Raptor with a 2-stage oil pump, electronically controlled. If you put Load on the engine it will jump up to 50-60 psi.

That is normal for our cars. Really weird because that is so low but I’m no engineer.
