Yes don't throw fist at the topic
I am asking somebody in a slow down way to explain the new oil consumption situation.
So far I read our engine now might consume 1 quart of oil between oil changes and we might have to add some before your next oil change.
I also read a person who's ST went two quart low and had to get a new engine.
3rd their is a company selling a new oil pan to fix this problem .

WOW !

I'm not one for a ton of words. So I will say this, check your oil when you are filling up with fuel. Observe and note how your motor operates in relation to oil consumption. Act accordingly.
Also, the bigger oil pan is a good idea if you're launching your ExST. If normal old man driving like me, you're good.
My 21 didn't consume any oil between changes, my schedule is every 5k miles. I'm in a 25 presently, 5k miles and 2 oil changes. No observed consumption.

Thanks for the reply

I get what you saying its a owner job to maintain their vehicle

Last one report says hard cornering can starve the oil pump.
Overfilling helps mitigate this ,So some people are overfilling by a 1/4 of a quart of oil

It looks like you're reading little tidbits of information here and there and getting all worked up over nothing. "Consuming 1 qt of oil between changes" is what manufactures would call within spec, and it can happen especially with the extended oil change intervals vehicles have today compared to the "every 3 months or 3,000 miles" intervals of the past.

If you lose a quart in a week, there's something probably wrong, blown oil seals in the turbos, excessive blow-by in the cylinders, etc.

I've never read anything about starving the oil pump short of not filling to or maintaining a proper oil level.
