OTA Update

Since Ford started charging for the map update I didn't bother with it. Well yesterday I noticed my Explorer was doing an OTA update. My map version is now 2.22 so it looks like I got it for free now. First time it has done an OTA update.

I had the same thing happen shortly after my Sync version was updated OTA. I thought I had used up my free MAP updates too. It took almost a week before all of the MAP files were downloaded but then one day there they were.

I just checked and mine is at 2.22. So, that’s the latest version?

I downloaded mine via usb a month ago. Still haven’t flashed it.

EDIT: Checked my maps version today and mine said 2.20. I then enabled automatic updates and it immediately began to download what I believe is the new maps update.

This OTA update was kind of a waste for me. Once it was finally done it was for SYNC 23188 which I had updated via USB when it was released.

Ever since the problems with the previous version 22251, I have turned off OTA automatic updates.I am staying with 23188 and will only update with USB from now on.
