Pause Apple CarPlay from steering wheel?

Hey all! In my old car, I was able to pause Apple CarPlay by hitting the mute button on the steering wheel. I noticed that doesn’t seem to work in my Explorer, it just mutes it.

Is there any way to pause from the steering wheel that I’m dumb and missing? Or just not possible?

Yeah I don’t think that’s possible. Just have to manually hit the pause button on the screen.
