It's a long thread to screen shot. But to sum it up the Ford district rep got involved and the dealership apparently didn't know about the SSM regrading this issue. So Ford is replacing his single bolt subframe with a two bolt, all under warranty.

My guess is the owner of that ST must've been tuned and making tons of hp or else he was towing a house.

Not sure how to share posts.....been avoiding social media lately. Image attached.... he also mentioned that Ford denied his warranty because of the brace and downpipes.

My '21 ST has two bolts, but the way that stiffy diffy was straightened out doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. I'll have an AWR on order for installation after the recall is taken care of, at least for the additional support.

So again tbe two bolt cross member is strong enough compared to the one bolt that there is no issue with breaking and even Ford agrees with that.

Sure seems that way. FORD took a gamble with the one bolt rear, hoping that it would be okay.
They were close (0.1% of effected vehicles reporting breaks) but no cigar.

With two bolts the AWR is not necessary IMO. Can't hurt though.

I hear 'ya, same here with an 01/22 build!

We can at least be somewhat comforted in the knowledge that FORD's official reported rate of bolt shears is 0.1%.

I know that we can run polls 'till the cows come home. But it just occurred to me, of those who experienced sheared bolts how many were with 20" vs. 21" wheels/tires?

It seems that more rotational mass + better traction = more stress. Right?
