Hey all,

Current Ram 1500 owner, looking to downsize to a midsize SUV and the ST seems like the only option that has the performance I’m looking for (that isn’t mopar).

However, hoping you can give me some advice. I’m looking to get a used or certified pre-owned for affordability - but most of the options around me are all over the 50k mile mark, which has me nervous to say the least. There’s a 2020 w/ 64k miles @ $33,000, a 2021 w/ 50k miles @ $36,500, and another 2021 w/ 35k miles @ $38,000 (but no sunroof).

Woud you ever buy an ST w/ over 50k miles? I drive about 10-20k miles a year depending on work, and hopefully will drive this for at least 3-4 years, putting the top end around 120k miles before moving on. Do these things ever last that long?

Thanks for your advice!

Maintenance is very much key here. As long as all of the maintenance has been done these things should last pretty long. A warranty will give you that peace of mind also, and I highly recommend it. Welcome to the forum!

Thanks!

Ended up pulling the trigger on the 2020 w/ 64k miles. Checked out the maintenance report and seems like it had regular maintenance and no major issues.

Biggest selling point was Ford is giving me full bumper to bumper warranty and maintenance until 125k miles, couldn’t turn that down…

Time to start browsing the forums for mods I guess

Awesome. Congrats! I’ll help your search for mods. I have a full modding guide for these cars with all the parts available for them. I really hope @STFan could sticky it so that people like you know where to look. Hope it will help:

Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the forum. That warranty makes it a no brainer.
