Has anyone made the leap in purchasing one of these?

If so, which one did you buy, and would you recommend it?

Just finished assembling mine, which is the standard 5000lb. model. I'm waiting for the extensions to use as the lift points on our Explorers are 66 inches and require the EXTensions for safe operation. I didn't buy the 5000lb. EXT model, as I want to be able to use it with cars with narrower lift points. Will post my impressions once I've used it to rotate tires. One point to note, insure you have clearance above the vehicle. They recommend 3 feet I believe. I have less so I may not be able to raise to the higher locking lift level.

I have a 12k lb 4 post with 2 sliding pneumatic jacks in my shop at work…I’ll stick with that. lol

We don’t have our ST anymore but I still hang around this forum to keep track of Unbroken. Here is a pic of our C8 on our 5000 xl model. Really works well if you don’t have the ceiling height for a real lift.

I used my QuickJack yesterday to rotate tires. Easy to use, worked well and made easy work of the rotation. Very sturdy and well built. No regrets.

Can you tell me what you bought? Getting information from them is proving to be very difficult.

I bought the BL-5000SLX from Costco. I also bought the SLX Extensions (from Home Depot) which turn SLX Frames into EXT length (66"). Our Explorers need the EXT (66") length. Another option is to buy the BL-5000EXT frame that gets you the 66" length frame needed for the Explorer lift points. I chose to go with the BL-5000SLX & SLX Extensions because I wanted to be able to use the lift (without the extensions) with smaller cars that couldn't accommodate a 66" EXT frame. Hope this helps.
