Racing stripes?

Anyone add racing stripes to their ST? Had a Mustang GT and had stripes and saw a couple ST’s as well. Haven’t pulled trigger yet but wanted to see if anyone has done this yet?

Ooooooh. That would look amazing! Do it! And show us pics before and after. What colors you thinking. Your profile pic shows a black ST so I'd go dual red stripes. Good luck!

Yes. Clear matte. Subtle enough that the wife didn’t care (it’s her car technically). But my buddies still notice it. Got it from the Ford Accessories site in August when they had 25% off.

I think these are likely THE best looking racing stripes I've ever seen! Definately putting this on my "perhaps someday" list.

I can see black with a smoke or gun metal set.

I was thinking matte black, though some or fun metal could look sharp as well. I'll have it mocked up with a few different colors to see which looks best once I get there body back together.

I think matte would look great. That said, in my experience, the look has been fleeting. I've had a couple of matte stripes on different vehicles over the years but even with matte-specific chemicals, the flat finish seems to take on a sheen. It simply didn't end up looking like it started out. I won't do a matte finish in the future.

I was thinking of total matte black on the hood and roof.

I did more a grayish stripe with a red stripe next to it, the wrap guys did a good job.
