Is the 2022 2WD ST getting the recall?

My vin # is not showing any recall.

Here's a thought:
Ford are going to be short of the two bolt subframes.. But they will have a shit-ton of single bolt versions coming off the recalled ST's.

I'd bet the one bolters go back to Ford, get put through the machines again & get converted to two bolters, repaint etc & off to the dealers... or at least the ones that come from AZ or So Cal etc that have zero rust on them...

No doubt. Or used in the other 1 bolt applications. I don't know if that bothers me or not so long as the inspect and repair/repaint as new. Its not like it's a moving part that will wear.

With all this going on I was surprised I could source a 2 bolt....that should be here tomorrow.

Looks like they made an error with the number. That recall number is for an F350 driveshaft issue.
So much for their being the "Ford Authority". Lol

My vin # is not showing any recall.
NHTSA isn't currently showing any recalls on my 2022 4WD ST either (even though my build date supposedly falls within the range of 22S27).

It'ss a full blown safety recall.. not just a TSB. Dealerships wont be able to deliver vehicles to customers until it is fixed and we that have the recall can go and get the remedy as soon as it's availalbe.

I'm off today but will dive into the recall further tomorrow when I'm at work.

The letter sent to dealers states that just a PCM flash is the fix... i hope thats not the case.. lol

They wont be replacing the subframes the way it reads, just the bolt itself. I imagine with a hardened bolt. No way their going to replace them all with $3000 subframes. Also its not just ST's under the recall but the entire explorer line. Hate to say it but sounds like all you guys are getting are replacement bolts. Is it right? no...but i guess its better than detuning them.

Ford decided Gorilla Glue won't slow the ST down like a good flash would, so they rejected it.

Zip ties or hose clamps. Ford can fix anything with a hose clamp. :LOL:

You think they're going to stuff a grade 8 or 10 bolt into the single bushing? I think it's a badly written recall notice.
It's about a $1300 subframe at dealer cost apparently.

and it's absolutely pointless asking anyone in the dealer service dept who are often unable to intelligently communicate with owners who know more about the vehicle than they do.
Case in point:
Attempted to buy 3 Allen head M6x15mm bolts recently at a local motorcycle shop for the chain guard on my ZRX1100... Idiot behind the counter tells me "They don't use bolts that big on motorcycles" & then argued with me about it. Went to Lowes, bought a 4 pk for about 35c.

Dealing with the dealership is beyond frustrating to say the least.
Most employees including the techs and mechanics don't really have a clue what they're talking about or they pretend they dont!

I think thats exactly some shit Ford would do and call it good enough... $5 bolt vrs a $1300 subframe... Hate to say it but yeah, O.E.s are gonna do the bare minimum to keep themselves out of hot water. If they think a bolt will fix that their gonna try that first.

I guess it is a case of them just replacing the bolt, not the subframe. That ain't gonna fly...

Dealer Service Departments go by what they see on their computer. Their hands are tied in most cases.

I'm not an engineer, but if a hardened bolt is all it really needs then I'm ok with that. Otheriwse, Ford knows that not fixing the issue opens them up to laswsuits.
