This is a small but annoying problem. I have a 2025 Explorer ST, the light on my remote that indicates the vehicle has started or stopped is not working, the dealer told me Ford has discontinued this, doesn't make sense the light appears to be there why not hook it up. Any one else notice this

The light was removed back in 2023.

Not real odd. Ford has de-contented the 6th Gen Explorer for years now.\
No referring to why that recall was there. Dumb is what’d I use for Ford de-contenting.

Try using your phone to start the ST. The app will tell you if it is on or off.

It seems the early years are better than the later years. Is there anything actually improved in the '25's? I've read how so much has been discontinued as the years go on!

The infotainment system is a lot better, and the multi contour (messaging) seats are back. Otherwise it’s just exterior cosmetic changes. Why I’ve had no interest upgrading, especially since not tunable.

There is still a lot that has been left behind. Saying the infotainment system is better is just your opinion. Some people don't like the new infotainment system. I haven't confirmed it but I heard you can't use CarPlay with the new system. Not even with a plug in adapter because it's all wireless now. I may be wrong about that though. As for tuning, RaceChips has a tuner for the '25. It doesn't work like a typical "uploadable" tune but it does tune the vehicle.

Racechips is a piggyback tuner, so it helps a little but not as much as the custom tunes from ZFG or Goosetuned did. I’ve assumed the Google-based system is a lot better cause I haven’t heard a complaint about it yet (other then complaints about the bugs, but that’s not any different then Sync3), and yes you can use CarPlay.

I've just heard people complain about the buttons (or lack of) and some of the menus, not the OS.

No, the RaceChip doesn't get you as much as a remap but it does help. I've read in some other places that people who have it say they notice a diference. Personally, I wouldn't use it because it's a lot of money for what it does, and what it DOESN'T do. It does not address the transmission at all.

I mean least it’s an option, but if I’m going to basically kiss warranty goodbye, I’m going all the way.
