Hello,
Yesterday I replaced the purge valve on my truck and what a pain in the a$$! Ford couldn't give about 3 more inches of wire to the solenoid so that made it very difficult to ger the connector unclipped as well as the green spring clip for the hose. I got it but I'm very tall and had to use my full arm length to do it. The P0496/P00456 codes are gone so I'm happy about that.

With the advice of others on here and YouTube, I was able to replace mine with a few walks away and piecing together what others had mentioned. I went with the best that Napa has and feel that their design is better than OEM.

Yes I bought a Napa one and it has life time warranty on it. I don't want to have to do that procedure any time soon. I don't exactly know how that is plumbed by I would suspect that there is pressure on that valve a lot. Maybe boost pressure. I replaced the purge valve once on my Taurus Interceptor 3.5l Ecoboost and it was a simple 15 minute swap out. I wish this new to me Interceptor was as easy.
